Alone


He wanted to be home. He had told Lucille he would help her with her mathematics homework because she was struggling with algebra. Unlike her father, Lucille was careless with numbers. She always lost track of the decimals and fractions. Decimals and fractions were how Mr. Elliot made a living. He wanted to ask Teddy how his baseball game went. The kid was supposed to pitch. The two of them played catch whenever they found time.
