As of Monday we have had the generator working on a limited basis and have been able to pump water. At first this was really strange and I didn't fully understand. It was like "Wait... what? You mean i can get water here?? But... this doesn't... make sense...".
We also have a very important visitor this week from Germany. Apparently he is the head of all the Benedictine Priors in the world?? Something like that. He speaks excellent English and he has been to St. Johns on several occasions. I think he is the reason it was suddenly so crucial we have intermittent electricity.
Also, I am going crazy thinking about fall and the holidays... :)
